Welcome to the Oakleigh Home Education Hub, which is part of the Family Hub initiative from Oakleigh Community Church. We are a not for profit group of Christian teachers who aim to help make home education a realistic and achievable, high quality educational alternative for all children.
Our Home Education Hub offers a unique blend of high-quality academic excellence and Christian values, tailored to primary-aged learners. Launching with a soft start in April 2025 and fully opening in September of that year, we provide a rich, National Curriculum-based education in small groups of no more than 15 children, led by vastly experienced and qualified teachers and teaching assistants.
What we do
Tuition
Our small group tuition classes are led by a fully qualified teacher and a TA. Additional materials can be set for you to deliver at home using the same curriculums we use at the Hub, ensuring joined up teaching and smooth progression through the Primary Curriculum.
Curriculum
We offer a bespoke, high-quality and fully planned core subject curriculum, combining small group tuition with parent taught sessions. The way in which the curriculum is delivered can be tailored around you and your family. Our hub run sessions in English, Maths, Science and other topic subjects weekly Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. You are welcome to drop your child to these small group tuition sessions or alternatively we have a work lounge available with WIFI and complimentary tea and coffee
Support
In addition to the core subjects being planned, we offer on going support and a secure part of our website for help, resources, opportunities to share successes and celebrate with the rest of the Oakleigh Education Hub community.
